This place reminds me more of a sports bar, and has a full bar. My daughter had rice pudding was really good , and my son and I had key lime pie. Glad the restaurant was within walking distance as the walk did us good after all the great foos! The chicken was very good and well seasoned.

Good, solid Cuban food - worth the visit. Cuban bread was great - we finished half of the second basket they brought us. In the old Rusty Anchor restaurant. We each had something different - Siboney Steak, Grilled Grouper, Grilled Shrimp, and another steak don't remember which. All of us thrilled with what we ordered. Wife had flan for dessert, said it was very good. My daughter had rice pudding was really good , and my son and I had key lime pie. That's my big complaint -- key lime pie should never have meringue on it, and this one did. Decided to get some Cuban food in Key West. El Siboney had pretty good reviews and it has two locations, so we decided to try it's newest location on Stock Island. The interior is very nice. The menu is separated by meat types. They have pork, steak, seafood and chicken, as well as side sections. Free Cuban bread was served. The chicken was very good and well seasoned. The rice was kind of plain could've have more flavor. The black beans and plantains were also delicious. One of my Key West favorites! First time with lime, cilantro and onion on my steak other than on my tacos! The art was a great treat as was learning the history of the Taino and Siboney tribes of Cuba and their tragic subjugation and colonization at the hands of the murdering Spanish Conquistadors Old place new rehab and their second restaurant. Big expansive room, but very comfortable. The porttion size is GIANT size. I had a siboney steak, 2 large portions of marinted skirt- delicious and tender. Cuban rice, plantains and a large salad. Ms M had skewered shrimp and grilled chicken. Too much to eat but she loved it. Rice, beans and plantains. Mr R, had a huge portion of delicate grilled yellow tail. Big basket of Cuban bread. Everything was cooked perfectly, all fresh, and great service. Bread pudding and vanilla custard with a Cuban name for desert. All in all, can't wait to return to get another one of those steaks. And the check for three was darn reasonable. I would add, that my last visit to their other restaurant at the old location was not perfect so pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and service here. We have been going to El Siboney in Key West for several years now and really enjoy it. When we heard there was a new one in stock Island we had to try it. We were thrilled to find the same menu as the one in Key West. The restaurant is much larger, the food was good, and service good - and it is 15 minutes closer for us! We ordered the shirt steak which was over cooked, wouldn'treccomend. However the steak Vieja was delicious. Overall great restaurant if you're looking for cuban food in Key West. The menu is separated by meat types. We had no wait for a seat, although the restaurant was very busy. The sandwich is served on Cuban bread, which is made from pork fat and is wicked good. The food, although simple, was very nicely cooked and we enjoyed ourselves. The rice was kind of plain could've have more flavor. El Siboney is recommended to Caribbean and Cuban cuisine lovers. The pork is so very good. It is not inspiring from the outside but while not fancy, it is friendly and the food was good.
